FAQs
Is Keeper free to download?
Yes. Keeper is free to download on the App Store and Google Play. The free tier includes up to 20 catch logs, catch log filtering, and map pin filtering — no credit card required.
What's included in Keeper PRO, and how much does it cost?
Keeper PRO is $2.99/month or $29.99/year. It unlocks unlimited catch logging, the ability to add photos to your logs, data export as a .csv file, the heat map, lake-specific insights, tournament mode, catch sharing, and the ability to set "Favorites" for species, lures, and cover/structure.
Does Keeper work without an internet connection?
Yes. Keeper is built offline-first — all of your catches are saved directly to your device and the app works fully without a connection. Your data syncs to the cloud automatically when you're back online.
How does the heat map work?
The heat map is a PRO feature that visualizes where you've caught fish across a lake or body of water. The more you log, the more detailed the picture becomes. You can apply filters — by species, lure, depth, conditions, and more — to see where you're most productive under specific circumstances.
Are my catches visible to others?
No. All catches are private by default and visible only to you. You control the privacy level of each individual catch. The only exceptions are tournament leaderboards, where aggregate stats (bag weight, fish count, best fish) are visible to other participants — but specific details like exact GPS coordinates, lure, depth, and notes are never shared.
Can I share my catches with other anglers?
Yes, catch sharing is a PRO feature. You can send a specific catch to another Keeper PRO user by searching their username. The recipient can choose to accept or decline it. You can also cancel a pending share before it's accepted. Shared catches are marked private by default in the recipient's account.
How do I export my catch data?
Data export is a Keeper PRO feature. You can export your full catch log as a .csv file from the Settings menu. The file includes all logged fields — species, date, time, weight, length, depth, water temp, lure, conditions, waterbody, and notes.
Why didn't my weather auto-fill when I logged a catch?
Weather auto-fill requires both location permission and an active internet connection at the time of logging. If either is unavailable, the weather fields will be left blank for you to fill in manually. You can grant location permission anytime in your device's Settings app.
How do I cancel my PRO subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) — not directly through Keeper. To cancel, go to your device's subscription settings and cancel from there. You'll keep PRO access through the end of your current billing period, and you won't be charged again after that.
How do I delete my account?
You can permanently delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete Account within the app. This removes your profile, all catch records, photos, and any pending catch shares from our servers. Deletion is immediate and irreversible — we are unable to recover your data after it's been deleted.
